WHY are other Countries Laughing at Us??!!

I have a regular post-IF I ever finish it, but I couldn't let these videos go by. THESE are the people at "Tea Bag Rallies". THESE are Sara Palin and Glen Beck fnas-or rather Cultists. THESE are the "grassroots", "every day American's" who want to "take back our Country". THESE are the people our Republican Congressmen and Women are supporting, backing--WITHOUT even TRYING to correct all of their misinformation.
THIS is WHY we HAVE to put more funding for education so these poor misinformed, frightened, and brainwashed people can at LEAST learn how to do research themselves; ANYTHING but parrot the word for word ranting of Murdock's corporate shills at Faux Nooz. I watch these videos in utter amazement and embarrassment-as should every citizen of this Country. You know-despite the shock of watching the people at the Palin book signing,..I think that ANYONE who watches the outright LIES, purposeful misinformation, buys his books, and attends his rallies; are just overwhelmed with their own set of problems in todays society, and of course, the economic crisis. They have turned to a cable "news" channel, that tells them what they WANT to hear-but NOT necessarily what is true. I've watched MOST of Beck's shows-and in over 90% of them, he repeats his "mantra": "I KNOW all the other news shows, the rest of the media, think that you all are too dumb. Too stupid to know or understand everything that is going on in Washington DC and in government across this Country. Well my friends, *I* can promise you this. I DON'T. *I* KNOW that you can see it, and *I* want YOU to know that *I* will ALWAYS tell you the TRUTH!"

For over 3 months, I watched all but one episode of this new "Cult leaders" shows, taking notes and checking his statements to actual videos and official documents. If there was a daytime Emmy for spouting dangerous LIES about our Government, History, Policies, Foreign Policy, Military, or ANYTHING related to President Obama's Administration; Glenn Beck would not only be a shoe in, but he HAS to have set some sort of World Record. Over that time I also followed Beck's "request" that if he has "misunderstood" or "gotten ANY of my facts wrong, PLEASE contact me, and I PROMISE it will be the FIRST THING I report on the next show". uhhmmm..not only have *I* called, and emailed the videos and documents I found that PROVED he was lying; but I know of at LEAST 8 others who were doing the same thing. DAILY. We were cussed out, hung up on, called Communists/Marxist/Fascist LIARS, and even threatened. (it just depended on the day and the person to whom I spoke whether I was Socialist/Fascist/Marxist or Communist. And when I attempted to tell them these are 4 entirely different philosophies? Hung up or threatened.) NOT ONCE did Beck correct ANY of the lies or misinformation. And what makes it worse is that these things are supported and repeated by his fellow cronies at Faux Nooz, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Not to mention repeated in the Conservative blogs, news sites...and even my the Conservatives that have been elected to lead this Country.

There are several people in the Media who I respect VERY much, and value their acquaintance-HOWEVER, electing to ignore, so as not to give this crap a moment more time, is A MISTAKE. This MONSTER that Faux Nooz, Corporations and Beck have created is GROWING!!! Just LISTEN to the full set of videos that Media Matters has posted from Beck's rally at the Villages in Florida. READ what he is "PREACHING" to these people!! He says it will be a "100 year Revolution". He announced in his show this week HIS 3 SOLUTIONS to the "destruction of our Country which this Administration is CAUSING".. "GOD GOLD and GUNS"!!!!!!!!! And YES, I'm fully aware that his only major advertisers-the ones that are left, just HAPPEN to be "Gold Dealers".
WAKE UP folks!!!!!! This WACKO is gathering his "FLOCK", and it is INCREASING in Numbers!!! As much as I agree Beck is totally INSANE, and would LOVE to believe that he is going SO far out into his part self-created, part corporate/money/greed created fantasy; NO ONE can deny that with each WILD accusation, each "Major Event/Major Announcement, and each New York Times Bestseller, this guys followers are increasing in numbers-already in the millions.

Below is the video of the last 8 minutes of Beck's "speech". An accurate summary, (I checked all 6 videos from this person's entire recording of it from beginning to end-it's accurate), of it can be seen here. In this last part, Beck recites a "long ago", (begun in the 50's when McCarthy was freaking everyone out about everyone he didn't agree with or like being a "Commie"-hmmm... sound familiar?), debunked, alternative history of the Statue of Liberty. He also tells his followers that they need to be ready to lose their jobs, and live as their grandparents did during the depression in this part. On one of his regular, daily, programs, he took it a step further telling folks to be ready to "lose everything; your job, your friends, and possibly even your family; to follow me to the Refounding (sic) of America". Before the video-a few "facts" about what Beck has told his audience:
** Climate Change/Global Warming is a HUGE Hoax-planned by Progressives. And that this is now "proven by "hacked emails". There are at least 3 other reports on Media Matters regarding this.
** Progressives have been planning this Socialist/Communist take-over of the Country for 100 years.
** All of the Artwork in Rockefeller Plaza was put their by Progressives, "like the Rockefellers, as a part of their Communist indoctrination".
** "The economic crisis, election of Obama were all planned as a part of the Communist Agenda".
** That Obama suggests that it's OK to "Put a spike in a baby's head"-regarding late-term abortions
**"Progressives have built up this wall of separation between church and state, and it's nonsense" THE Quote, from Thomas Jefferson-an early, , Progressive:

** Beck often repeats and encourages his audience to "Question with Boldness". For some strange reason he leaves out the rest of the quote. "Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear." Just for the record-Beck refers to Jefferson frequently as a "devout Christian Founder". Beck needs to revisit American History-maybe the "Jeffersonian Bible" would be something to keep in mind?
** Beck seems to have a problem with Native Americans. In several shows he has insinuated that THEY were the "bad guys"-you know, killing our "Great Founders" and all? He chastised Obama for even speaking to them at a long scheduled conference which, unfortunately, was interrupted by the news of the Fort Hood shootings. Because Obama didn't immediately walk out and cancel the speech-Beck insinuated, as usual, that it showed how Obama "really feels about out troops". On todays show- "We are stomping all over the Pilgrims this holiday". (talking about the State of NY purchasing land for a company that was never built. I'm sorry-they "STOLE" the land. "We are stomping all over the Pilgrims this holiday"
** Beck advanced dubious claim that "[n]owhere in the Constitution can you find" authority for health reform legislation
** Union's are EVIL-especially SEIU.
** SEIU are "thugs", Communist", "Marxist", "fascist", (depends on day again). Apparently, they're also running our Country.
** The ONLY other organization that comes CLOSE to being as "evil" as SEIU, is, of course, ACORN. According to Glenn-they're also the "ONLY" contractor with the Govt with such "rampant corruption". You know, the videos of the 8 low-level ACORN employees? (that's *8* employees out of over 250,000 nationwide?) Which has received LESS THAN 4 million in funding over the past 8 years?)
** Beck does NOT care for "the next generation" AT ALL!! (ages 15-30) "Thieves", "Lazy", "Would-be killers"--are but a few of the things he said during a show which trashed MY children for over 30 minutes.

These are but a FEW of the things Beck has spoken about-I didn't even list some of the most shocking accusations about our President that he likes to dwell on, (ie: Obama was the ONLY President to have school children sing to him/about him...uhhmm..I guess the videos I have of children singing to/praising Bush, Reagan, JFK and Eisenhower and their accompanying stories are all, what? Hallucinations?), a 2 day show on whether Obama is the "AntiChrist", H1N1 vaccines with microchips in it to "track our every move",....so many you could write a 2000 page novel, easily.
Perhaps Beck's followers should do as much checking on Glenn Beck-what HE is saying, doing, planning, insinuating-as they do planning their tea parties. It's AMAZING what just a LITTLE research can teach you.
Heard the psychological term "Projection" before? Perhaps you SHOULD?

OK folks, FIRST: I DO realize there are other pressing issues-I've just been busy doing what I Love to do most, (well, besides playing with Sita and going to doctors offices.. ;), researching FACTS-and I PROMISE to write an update soon-heck, I have enough notes and material to write a book, but I'll stick to emails, commentaries, and an occasional blog for now. I was reading through some news tonight and came across yet more disturbing examples of the breakdown of our society and culture in this Country. BUT-I'll do something on that later, because right now, I am THRILLED to present a surprising video, from Fox nooz of all places, that is VERY supportive and informational on one of my pet subjects. I always wondered WHY conservatives were SO opposed to medical cannabis when they are constantly bitching about personal choices and rights. While I strongly doubt this one interview will change the minds of so many Republicans who seem convinced that those of us that want and need medical cannabis for justifiable reasons, "ONLY want to get high", you never know with these folks. I plan on sending this to my own local congress people, hopefully in time for them to think about it, and MAYBE even read some of the research studies I've tried to send them over the past 6 months. Fortunately it became clear from the host’s opening monologue that Judge Andrew Napolitano is a powerful and articulate friend of cannabis liberalization.

“The War on Drugs that the federal government has waged, and on which it has spent billions and billions of taxpayer dollars, has been a complete waste of time, money, and effort.

Take marijuana, for instance. It’s been grouped together and enforced by the Drug Enforcement Administration with real hardcore drugs like heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine. BOTH of these videos NEED to be seen by EVERYONE-especially anti-reform people. (I'm TRYING to be nice here...) The second video PROVES that these "screamers" in the audience are mostly PAID sheep for the health insurance companies-over just anti-Obama EVERYTHING. What this lady goes through is indicative of what MILLIONS of us have had to deal with-and still do on a daily basis. I HAVE to wonder what these "screamers" are going to have to say when THEY have an accident, or get sick; and lose EVERYTHING trying to pay medical bills??!! Despite what Sen. Coburn said at his Town Hall the other day, (when that poor lady who's husband had a traumatic brain injury, began crying, saying she couldn't afford proper treatment for him), people in todays society are unlikely to offer to help. I can personally attest to that.


I wish I had this lady's courage-but of what I've experienced in my small town already, I've had to decline the request to speak at a local vigil/rally here next week. The "haters" in the audience yelling for this lady to "get a job" and calling her a "Liar" are sadly indicative of todays society. Since the majority of these conservatives identify themselves as "Christians"-can someone please tell me which Bible THEY are reading??

The Absolute INSANITY Grows!! Well, ConservaNUTS got what they wanted. Their best buddies in the healthcare industry and Big Pharma had been telling them they HAD to procrastinate long enough that they'd have this free-for-all 4 week "break" in committee hearings and votes to completely barrage the public with their foreboding, haunting, and downright SCARY "predictions" as to what will happen with ANY version of HealthCare Reform. The problem with this strategy is that it's based on complete LIES!! Even as their ConservaNUT pundits confess, ON TV, that the Govt already provides 1st rate medical care for it's employees and military, (actually, it's a version of that dreaded "socialized medicine" that's proving the "First Rate Care"), and the "rest of us" DON'T "deserve the best"; His RePUGlican Congressmen go to their well-funded, (by those little insignificant health insurance companies and Big Pharma executives), August "Vacations".

Right-Wing Harassment Strategy Against Dems Detailed In Memo: ‘Yell,’ ‘Stand Up And Shout Out,’ ‘Rattle Him’

This morning, Politico reported that Democratic members of Congress are increasingly being harassed by “angry, sign-carrying mobs and disruptive behavior” at local town halls. For example, in one incident, right-wing protesters surrounded Rep. Tim Bishop (D-NY) and forced police officers to have to escort him to his car for safety.

This growing phenomenon is often marked by violence and absurdity. Recently, right-wing demonstrators hung Rep. Frank Kratovil (D-MD) in effigy outside of his office. Missing from the reporting of these stories is the fact that much of these protests are coordinated by public relations firms and lobbyists who have a stake in opposing President Obama’s reforms.

The lobbyist-run groups Americans for Prosperity and FreedomWorks, which orchestrated the anti-Obama tea parties earlier this year, are now pursuing an aggressive strategy to create an image of mass public opposition to health care and clean energy reform. A leaked memo from Bob MacGuffie, a volunteer with the FreedomWorks website Tea Party Patriots, details how members should be infiltrating town halls and harassing Democratic members of Congress:




– Artificially Inflate Your Numbers: “Spread out in the hall and try to be in the front half. The objective is to put the Rep on the defensive with your questions and follow-up. The Rep should be made to feel that a majority, and if not, a significant portion of at least the audience, opposes the socialist agenda of Washington.”

– Be Disruptive Early And Often: “You need to rock-the-boat early in the Rep’s presentation, Watch for an opportunity to yell out and challenge the Rep’s statements early.”

– Try To “Rattle Him,” Not Have An Intelligent Debate: “The goal is to rattle him, get him off his prepared script and agenda. If he says something outrageous, stand up and shout out and sit right back down. Look for these opportunities before he even takes questions.”

The memo above also resembles the talking points being distributed by FreedomWorks for pushing an anti-health reform assault all summer. Patients United, a front group maintained by Americans for Prosperity, is currently busing people all over the country for more protests against Democratic members. Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX), chairman of the NRCC, has endorsed the strategy, telling the Politico the days of civil town halls are now “over.”

Meanwhile, AHIP, the trade group and lobbying juggernaut representing the health insurance industry is sending staffers to monitor town hallsstepping up their ad campaign to smear reform efforts. The strategy for defeating reform — recently outlined by an influential lobbyist to the Hill newspaper as “delay” then “kill” — is becoming apparent. By delaying a vote until after the August recess, lobbyists are now seizing upon recess town halls as opportunities to ambush lawmakers and fool them into believing there is wide opposition to reform. and other right-wing front groups are

What do *I* want?? Well, under the circumstances with my health, I have no choice but to stay on the underfunded medicaid/medicare system.
I AM, however, worried about my children. I'll also stay active in my fight to legalize medical marijuana-something that appears to be one of my ONLY options as far as the glaucoma, severe muscle spasms..and sleeping for more than an hour would be nothing short of a miracle. If the Congress people here in PA can agree on a budget sometime soon, we expect the hearings to begin in the next month or so. What makes MUCH more sense, to me anyways, is passage of a Federal Law legalizing medical cannabis. After 2 years of research, I've come to the conclusion that it's criminal NOT to make it available to patients who so desperately need it. Maybe the healthcare industry will spend so much money fighting healthcare reform that they won't have enough to fight us on this issue??? OK, momentary lapse of wishful thinking...sorry. When it comes to profits, these folks aren't going to give up another dime of their precious, tax-sheltered, trillions..... Maybe my next life will actually see some sanity?
